Dear Ms. Lee,

I am the founder of TEA TIME and welcome you to be our partner. I am writing in reference to tell you TEA TIME’s  management style and structure.

TEA TIME is a bubble tea shop who provides special DIY service and fresh food choices. After analyzing every aspect of our company, we chose participative management style and flat organization structure for TEA TIME.

For this management style, some key benefits include the following:

  • A participative manager will seek to receive the contributions of all their subordinates before making decisions.
  • All employees feel valued and trusted.

Since I think letting every employee to participate the decision making is crucial for our business, I chose participative management style. In a bubble tea shop, the main group who directly communicate with the consumers are employees except managers. In this way, they will better know what the customer’s concerns and drinking preferences. In every meeting, they have to share their suggestions or opinion to us. Then we can make some adjustment in order to improve the performance of our company. Meanwhile, every employee will feel valued and trusted.

For this management structure, some key benefits include the following:

  • Flat organizations work best when a company has less than 20 employees, especially if the company employs one or two employees per department.
  • Decisions can be made relatively quickly.

Since my company is a bubble tea shop, it is not a big firm. There will not be too many employees in this shop, we do not need too many leaders and complex management structure.  I only need two managers and eight staffs. One of the manager will be responded for the area of customer service and ordering foods. The other manager will be responded for DIY area. Meanwhile, each manager will have four staffs. The managers will give orders and instructions to staffs directly. The two managers will report the work to CEO every week.
